Lecture 6 - Other worm phyla

We will learn about the following 5 phyla:

Protostomia:

   Lophotrochozoa: Nemertea & Platyhelminthes

   Ecdysozoa: Nematoda

Unspecified: Chaetognatha

Deuterostomia: Hemichordata

I'd like to give special thanks to Kevin Uhlinger for providing our class with a male and female specimen of Saccoglossus kowalevskii. Kevin is now headed back from MBL to Hopkins Marine Station, where he works with Chris Lowe (see the lab's website for hemichordate research).

And additional thanks to Ed and Bill at MBL's MRC, who provided several specimens of Bdelloura ("Limulus leech" flatworm) and Lineus (a nemertean).
